What are the important points in writing a check?

The check register is an important part of your checkbook since it allows you to keep a running balance of your funds. Record the date, check number, payee and the amount as well as the balance in your register so that you will be able to keep track of your account. After which, you now proceed to writing on your check. Print or type the numbers and words starting from the left. Make sure that you have written the correct date and amount as well as the payee correctly and don’t forget your signature in the end.
