Liberty national bank emerges as the new leader in reward checking accounts

As per the rankings of the reward checking accounts which had the best high-yield Liberty National Bank has emerged as the leader.  It is paying 4.11% APY and this is considered the best rate that one can find on rewards checking accounts that are available.  However, Liberty National Bank which has 5 branches around Fort Sill, Okla is only going to offer this rate for the first $10,000 in the cash checking account in Kasasa and anything over and above that will earn 0.50% APY.

These high-yield accounts were the only reason for celebration during the recession and most banks were paying around 4.5% to 5% on a balance of $35,000 or $50,000.

But now post recession the rates of even the best high-yield accounts have dropped to such a low that most people think that saving is not worthwhile.

However, Liberty National Bank is the only one that is paying more than 4% on these high yielding checking accounts.  The others who come close are AmericaNet Bank as well as Evantage Bank that pay 3.75% APY on a deposit of up to $10,000, Danversbank  and Liberty Bank pays 3.01% APY on deposits up to $25,000 and Coulee Bank which pays 3.03% APY on deposits up to $25,000.
